This time a year ago I supported the birth of my friends' baby. She was born on my own birthday and her parents named her Bodhisattva.
They later shared with me a version of the Bodhisattva Vow prayer which I felt inspired to put to music. I already had a connection with the Way of the Bodhisattva through the Tibetan Buddhist teachers Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche and Tulku Pema Wangyal Rinpoche. The Bodhisattva vow is an incredibly profound prayer - the commitment to return again and again until ALL beings are free, because one being's enlightenment is meaningless unless all beings are liberated from suffering.
One year after the birth, on a mountain in Snowdonia, on both mine and baby Bodhisattva's birthday, Michael Stanton and I recorded the song.
lyrics
May I be a guide for those
Who need protection
May I be a guard for those on the path
A boat, a raft, a bridge
May I be a lamp in the darkness
A resting place for the weary
May I be a balm for those who are sick
A vase of plenty
May I be a tree of miracles
May I be a tree of peace
May I bring support and awakening
Enduring like earth and sky
Until all beings are free
Free from sorrow
Until all beings know love
Until all beings know peace
Until all beings are set free
Free from the veils of illusion
May I be a tree of miracles
May I be a tree of peace
Freedom, freedom, freedom...

I heard a few of the songs from this album at a sacred sound healing retreat. My favourite tracks are Que Florezca La Luz and Nuestro Mundo. Absolutely stunning music I never get tired of listening. Dj Rise

The forest is strong with this one...listening walking around my local forest, i tripped over a fallen treeMy fault. too engrossed. Fabulous album even when not walking around a forest with headphones on... Great textures, melodies, repetitions. Healing. rj5af
